I am blogging anew tonight in response to Erin's call to the prodigal blogger. I know not yet what course this post may take, but boldly I proceed.
Myron's temp job is still temp. News, when substantial, shall be forthcoming. He is also still working part-time in the electronics/cell phone department at Walmart, 25 minutes from home but only 8 minutes or so from his temp job. This makes it handy on the occasions when he must work 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., head to Wally's for an 8 to 5 shift, and then head straight back to the temp job for another 12 hours. Luckily, this only happens on occasion now. Thank goodness the Christmas shift is well behind us!!
Heather is planning to move out in May. She's been saving up for initial expenses and is looking to rent a house with 3 friends. They have yet to find the perfect rental, but they're a determined group, and I have no doubt that they'll find what they're searching for. One of Heather's best friends got married last summer and another is getting married in the end of April, but Heather is in no rush to join the married crowd. She's enjoying her life as it is: full-time job in the fragrance department at Dillard's, boyfriend, tons of friends to eat, chat, go out with, and a bit of hair styling on the side.
Justin is still happy to be out of school for good. He begins every day by unloading the dishwasher and loading it up with the previous night's dishes. He turns it on, makes toast or something less conventional, and sits in the living room with music or a dvd or netflix show. He loves to listen to music and spends the bulk of his inside time doing just that. Justin is in charge of taking out the trash and recycling, doing the dishes, feeding the pets (which he overdoes with Mr. Bennett, as the vet recommends the dog lose a couple of pounds), and various errands around the house. As the weather warms up, Justin will also resume his role as chief lawn mower and waterer. He is also on the weather watch 24 hours a day.
Ozzy loves high school more than ever! I can't believe his junior year is flying by so quickly! He'll be 17 in May. He is participating in Best Buddies this year, a group that pairs up kids who have special needs with kids who can act as friends and mentors, mostly for socializing. Ozzy loves his Best Buddy Josh. Our ward mutual is involving him more these days, which he loves, and Ozzy and Justin also go to special needs mutual on Thursday nights, along with me, since I'm their piano player now. We have our weekly mutual nights and also a special sacrament meeting program that we present a couple of times a month in our area. The boys also have a group of friends they get together with for sporting activities throughout the year. We just finished our basketball season and are taking a break before starting soccer next month. There are kids who have Down syndrome, some who are autistic, and some with other disabilities. We have very casual, relaxed games and don't even keep score, but the kids are learning some fun skills and having a great time getting out together pretty regularly.
Levi is working at Papa John's pizza part time and has been accepted at Weber State. As long as we get the financing in order, he'll go this fall. He's hoping to move out this summer, sharing an apartment with friends somewhere in the area of Weber State. Leviticus and I love to watch episodes of Conan that we DVR, and we encourage each other in our musical pursuits. You should hear this self-taught piano player!! He's amazingly gifted to have picked it up on his own the way he has. He still plays his bass clarinet and his various ocarinas and is interested in trying out the violin next.
And I am still working at the deli at our local grocery store. I love my friends at work!! I'm playing the piano in primary and in the special needs mutual. I still love to spend time watching movies and crocheting afghans, pot holders, dish rags, grocery bag holders, whatever I can think of to keep my hands busy and to add to the array of gifts I like to have on hand for different occasions. Enough of my time is down time that I do my best to make it productive when I can. Physically, I've been up and down as usual, and seem to be coming out of a rather rough patch. I'm always glad for the good spells!! It makes my weekends with the boys so much easier! We have Thursday nights at mutual followed by shopping and hamburgers for dinner, our Thursday tradition. Then Friday tends to be the day for our sports with friends and is our long-standing pizza night, with Sunday as another day we spend going to our ward and sometimes to other wards for our program. I'm always happy for Monday and a chance to rest up from our fun-filled weekend. I squeeze in a bit of reading when I can....I have to have enough energy and gray matter at the time...but when I am up for it, I get quite enthused and can really tear through the reading material. Send me your suggestions; I'm always wondering what to read next!!

Hey, Janet! It was fun to read about you and your family. My family is all gone camping this weekend and I opted to stay home with the baby, so I have a little bit of extra time to Blog surf a bit.
